About the Author
S¢ren Kierkegaard (1813-55) was born in Copenhagen, the youngest of seven children. His childhood was unhappy, clouded by the religious fervour of his father, and the death of his mother, his sisters and two brothers. Educated at the School of Civic Virtue, he went on study theology, liberal arts and science at university, gaining a reputation for his academic brilliance and extravagant social life. He began to criticize Christianity, and in 1841 broke off his engagement to concentrate on his writing. Over the next ten years he produced a flood of works, in particular twelve major philosophical essays, many written under noms de plume. By the end of his life he had become an object of public ridicule, but he is now enjoying increasing acclaim. 

Alastair Hannay was educated at the Edinburgh Academy, the University of Edinburgh and University College London. In 1961 he became a resident of Norway and is now Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oslo.

lighter translation

there is a countervailing advantage this edition offers against the princeton volumes even though its abridged... this is a lighter and smoother English translation. English is not my native language, but I believe many American readers would find the Hong translations as tough-going as I did (even if meticulous). Kierkegaard is already very wordy so this translation is a pain reducer.

challenging, but well worth the effort

for the most part, it goes without saying that pure philosophy texts make for difficult reading. To a great extent, kierkegaard is no exception. However, I would highly recommend this book for anyone struggling with questions of faith, particularly those involving the relationship between god and man. For me, the most valuable part of the book was the author's clear conflict and passion for the issues. It seemed to me that he was not trying to write as some great philosopher-king trying to bring light to the poor suffering masses, but as a sincerely conflicted human being, down in the trenches with the rest of us, just trying to understand what it all means. In short, although the style may be a little hard to wade through at times, it is a thouroughly thought-provoking and insightful book.

About the Author
Kent Mauresmo grew up in Los Angeles, California. He attended UCLA college and majored in Computer Information Systems and Business Marketing. Kent worked as an Account Executive at an Investment Banking firm from 2006-2009. Bored with his career choice, in late 2009 he went back to school and took a crash course in Graphic Design and Computer Programming. 

In April 2010, he launched his first website at Read2Learn.net which encourages people to read books to learn new skills. He tries to read at least one book per week. He used to be one of those people who would never pick up a book because he thought they were boring. 

Everything changed when he discovered "How To.." books on Amazon which he finds very interesting. Now he's officially a book nerd, and he's always learning something new. Based on his experience, he's believes that anyone can learn how to do anything if they truly have the desire to learn and succeed. 

With so much mis-information being passed around the internet, Kent Mauresmo teamed up withAnastasiya Petrova (another book junkie) and decided to write their own books. Kent and Ana's books are created out of frustration. While I am aware of most of what's in this book, my past knowledge of cPanel was made from a lot of trial and error moments that were spread out over several years.

I wish they covered the topic of domain transfer a bit more (this is where I struggled most) I purchased a domain from name then tried to get hosting through Arvixie right after ... Didn't work out so well. LOL! I even tried go daddy and struggled . I really wish I got this book sooner, I wasted a lot of money just trying to set sites up and eventually giving them up. About the Author
Bruno Dyck is Professor at the I.H. Asper School of Business, University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. He received his Ph.D. in business from the University of Alberta in 1991 and has published dozens of articles and papers, many in leading management journals and publications. Dyck has numerous academic connections within the United States. He is active in the Academy of Management and the ASAC and has been the program and division chair. He serves as an editorial board member for several scholarly journals. For several years, he has been Chairperson for the Research and Publications Committee at his home university, where he has also received the University's Certificate of Teaching Excellence Award. Dr. Dyck has also received many grants, research awards, and fellowships, including the Associates Achievement Award for Research in the Faculty of Management.

Mitchell J. Neubert holds the H. R. Gibson Professorship in Management Development at the Hankamer School of Business, Baylor University. He received his Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Iowa in 1998. He has published articles and papers in several major management journals and practitioner publications such as the JOURNAL OF APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY, PERSONNEL PSYCHOLOGY, LEADERSHIP QUARTERLY, and BUSINESS HORIZONS. Dr. Neubert teaches both undergraduate business students and executive M.B.A. students. Among many areas in which he serves, he is the Chavanne Chair of Christian Ethics in Business at Baylor University, a board member for the Servant Leadership Institute of Central Texas, the Academy of Leadership Development and Civic Engagement, and the Better Business Bureau, and an academic reviewer for journals such as the ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT JOURNAL. Dr. Neubert also is an active consultant with leaders in both small and large corporations and non-profit organizations.

Great value for price

I used this textbook for a management course (organizational behavior), and with great success. It is clear, well-articulated, current, with substantial references, and the multistream approach is a welcome addition in the leadership field. I would definitely recommend this textbook.
