One part humanitarian, the other international financial mogul, his personal and professional lives are a curious contradiction. As Sara journeys deeper into her feelings for Trenton and begins unraveling the mystery behind his injury, she finds herself embroiled in a game of trust and betrayal, where the odds are stacked in Trenton's favor and the outcome for the loser is too terrifying to conceive.

WOW - One of the best Debut Novels
By Paula L. Phillips
Every now and again as a reader, you can come across a book that you may have read the genre over and over again and the storyline may be the same but the book itself sticks with you. For me , this was Frontline by Alexandra Richland . Frontline was your classic case of a Cinderella story with your everyday girl being Nurse Sara Peters and your Prince Charming being trillionaire Trenton Merrick with his Dark Red American Express in which only 100 were made and four of those belong to Americans. Trenton , thought that he would never fall in love but Sara Peters changed that for him as now all he wants to do is make sure she is protected and has everything she ever needed. But Sara doesn't want protection but a relationship and she finds what she has with Trenton - a bit one sided and him very controlling. Will Sara be able to bring Trenton down to her level or when Sara discovers the truth about what Trenton does and how dangerous it can be - will she run ?
Frontline by Alexandra Richland was a fast-paced story and one that all romance readers will enjoy as it has all the aspects of a dominance novel but without the whole "playroom" etc stuff of Fifty Shades.

.Frontline has mystery, action, suspense, romance, and a whole lot of sexy
By FunmbiE
** spoiler alert **
I am so happy to have received an ARC from the author! This is an incredibly engaging story...Frontline has mystery, action, suspense, romance, and a whole lot of sexy. I'm talking about the kind of sexy that makes your tummy to flutter, your toes to tingle, and your lady bits clench! I had a blast reading this, and I gladly give Frontline 4.5 stars.
We begin with Sara Peters, a nurse at NYC's Manhattan General Hospital. What starts out as a busy, but routine night at the ER quickly becomes a night Sara will never forget. On this night, she meets Trenton Merrick, a NY CEO, who has come into the hospital needing stitches to a cut on his forehead. From the moment Sara and Trenton meet, their attraction is evident. Their initial antagonism morphs into passion and sparks fly:
"When I finally lift my head, the first thing I see is that smirk. Then Mr. Merrick dips his head, his expression softens, and the gap between our lips vanishes...As Mr. Merrick's warn tongue ventures into my mouth and his arms encircle my waist, I tense for a moment, startled, and then collapse into his embrace...trailing kisses down my throat to my breasts, and his hands wandering to more intimate places...petting, probing...my hands in his hair, holding him closer, grinding into him, sucking on his tongue, desperate to savor everything he offers me..." MERCYYYYYYYY!
When Sara and Trenton part ways, they do so with the promise to meet for dinner the following night. However, even though she's super attracted and intrigued, Sara is still pretty suspicious of Trenton. How does Trenton get hurt? Why does he come to Manhattan General instead of another hospital or his personal physician? Why is he so insistent about being with Sara? And from this moment, Sara and us readers embark on a journey to figure out who is Trenton Merrick?
I love this story, and I think my favorite thing is the brilliance of Richland's characterization. Sara is an awesome character! She's smart, witty, snarky, upright, and has so much fortitude. Sara will not be bullied, and that's especially the case when it comes to Trenton. The attraction is strong, but Sara won't let that cloud her judgement...but goodness gracious the heat between Sara and Trenton is spectacular! For example:
"Trenton licks his lips and dips his head, pressing a kiss to my collarbone. I gasp and close my eyes. A wave of warm breath dances across my neck as her moves higher...higher...every soft kiss tangling me tighter is his web of power, passion, and possession. Moaning, begging, I roll my body against him. He meets me thrust for thrust.; his grunt and groans sound wanton...animalistic." Lawwwwwwwd!
However, Sara is determined to find the truth behind Trenton's intentions and actions.
Over the course of the story, we discover that Trenton is much more than a rich CEO/playboy.
Trenton Merrick is determined:
"When I know what I want, I do whatever it takes to get it, no matter how difficult the task. I live for the challenge and the rush I feel when I finally attain what I desire."
And it just so happens that Sara is the almost singular focus of that determination.
Trenton Merrick is a philanthropist:
"Haiti was like that. I worked on the frontline too...pulling men, women, and children from the rubble weeks after the earthquake..."
Trenton Merrick is sexyyyyyyyyyyyyyy and swoonyyyyyyyyyyyy:
"The rhythm of our bodies is a divine blend of desperation and all-consuming passion. Trenton's dedication to my pleasure dragging me into a sweet abyss of desire where I lose my bearings, willing to completely let do and trust him to take care of me at my most vulnerable."
T: "This isn't about me. I will always put you first...always...I will give you whatever you want Sara. I will never deny you anything."
Trenton Merrick is POSSESSIVE:
"I want to take my time touching you so your body recognizes my hands...craves them. I want to put my mouth on your breasts...I want to taste between your legs...savor what your body creates because of me. Then when you're ready for me, beggign for me, I want to shove my cock inside you...You are mine Sara. No other man is allowed to touch you, not even look at you...do you understand?"
Trenton Merrick is secretive:
S: "Why do you have so much security?"
T: "They travel with me simply as a precaution."
S: "Do all CEOs take that kind of drastic precaution? And if you travel with so much security all the time, why were you alone when you arrived at the hospital last night?
T: "Drop it, Sara."
AND
"If Trenton's not hiding something or mixed up in some shady business dealings, why would the government have a file on him with classified material? And why would they take surveillance photos of him and track his travels?"
So, who is Trenton Merrick? Well, the truth of things more closely resembles something straight out of James Bond. And I'm not kidding when I say that this story unfolds like a film...Richland's writing and descriptions are such that I can envision the scenes in my head as if I'm watching them on the big screen. It's AWESOME!
By the time we reach the end, we have a pretty solid understanding of who Trenton Merrick is, what he does, why he does it, and what he wants from Sara...and these things are all brilliantly intertwined.
I am *desperate* for the next book, especially after reading the preview at the end. Sara and Trenton definitely have some crazy (and most likely dangerous) adventures ahead of them, and I'm 100% on board for the ride!
I recommend Frontline to those looking for something that's a bit more amped up than the typical contemporary romance. Richland has done an excellent job of creating something that's original, cohesive, sexy, and entertaining...you'll love it!

Can we continue their story?
By Jennifer H Noe
First off, Frontline came as a complete surprise! The blurb got me interested and the characters got me hooked. Sara had sass and wasn't afraid to let it show. Trenton Merrick knew what he wanted and wasn't going to apologize for it. I read this in almost one sitting, only stopping to fix dinner and I would've been fine without eating.
It wasn't until after Sara agreed to have dinner with Trenton that I began to wonder what was going on. This is because while on their date he gets a phone call and just leaves her without a word. She's pretty pissed off and who can blame her? He practically begged her to have dinner with him and WHAM! He's gone without a goodbye and someone from his security team takes her home. It's going to take more than a bunch of phone calls for him to redeem himself.
So now the real begging begins! He says he would never hurt her; he wants to protect her and will deny her nothing. That sweet and all but what do you do when your actions sometimes speak louder than your words? Trenton is shrouded in secrets that he says aren't his to tell. And somehow since Sara and Trenton started seeing each other her life has been put in jeopardy. She's never had a day of trouble in her life. She has no one to blame but Trenton for putting her life in danger. Because her certainly has kept her in the dark about himself.
Sara slowly starts to find out things about Trenton and they are not good. She can honestly feel everything falling apart around her. The worst part? Sara misses Trenton. What if he really was trying to protect her? What if he had no idea why she was in danger? These are the questions she needs answered and when she gets those answers if from the last person she expected. It was from the last person I expected!
I loved this story from start to finish! The heat between Sara and Trenton, the suspense of what was going to happen next. I also forget how much I love suspense until I'm reading it again. Alexandra did an awesome job and even though Frontline did not end with a cliffhanger, there will another book! 4.5/5
