A great method to get your finances under control!

I bought this book several years ago and since then my financial and spiritual life has changed dramatically. I found that once I looked at my finances as a spiritual matter, I was able to gain control of them as an act of obedience to Christ.
The workbook is a great first step toward financial discipline. Budgeting and sticking to your budget is key. Once you live on a budget, you will never stop. The freedom living on a budget brings is phenominal.
Don't ever think you don't have enough money to establish a budget without breaking it, because in reality, you just don't have enough money to live without a budget.
This is a great book on personal finances. I would highly recommend it.

A name to watch!

I got my Kindle Unlimited subscription renewed a couple days ago, and I accidentally found this author, Sam West, while looking for any titles from Matt Shaw that I might have missed in the past couple months. Amazon said… ‘Oh, you like this twisted stuff? Here, try THIS guy. He might make you puke!’
There are five novellas available, I grabbed this one first only because it’s the first one Amazon recommended.
The synopsis, and the words ‘Extreme Horror Novella’ grabbed my attention right away. The cringe-inducing scene on the first page drew me in even further. As far as torture goes, Sam West is pretty original. Probably a bit unstable, too. (You know I’m teasing!) I learned a new phrase – “The back of beyond”. I like it. It sounds a little more civilized than BFE ;)
I can’t wait to read the other four books!

Unsparing psychological horror, horrifying to read but impossible to look away from. It took courage to write this book; it takes courage to read it. A bold author who delivers the goods in making horror, well... horrifying. Can't wait to read more by him.

Horrific and stomach turning!

Mr. Sam West has quickly become one of my favorite splatter punk authors. My first experience with his warped mind was The Djin. If you have not read it, do so immediately.

Home intruder is the second novella I just finished, and holy crap! Perfect splatter punk! Gory! Perverted! Really twisted, and a quick read. Mr. West gets right to the nastiness, and this is really nasty. Some of the descriptions actually made me shudder! It was great, because that is so rare for me! I'm that jaded.

This book is definitely not for the weak of stomach or mind. This ain't Stephen King folks. If brutality, gore, and rape is something you would prefer not to read about, then by all means move on, and do not crack this splatter-fest of a novella. Seriously, I found myself curling my toes, while reading certain passages. It's that good!

Ordered and never used

This is another one of those busy work classes that is a time killer when you want to be studying something important. I ordered the study guide under our instructor's recommendation. I never used it or even opened it after a few days of having recieved it. If your instructor is using a lot of questions from this book then order it to cover yourself. Otherwise this book is a useless paper weight.

The telling of one person's prison experience during WW II.

I first read this book over 30 years ago and still remembered it quite well. Having read the book again when re-published it fascinated me in much the same way it did when I was a teenager. This amazing account of Stewart's experiences as a prisoner of the Japanese during virtually the entire period of our involvement in the war is am incredible testimony to the will of one person to survive. In the begining of the book it is quite clear that our forces were woefuuly unprepared for war, making it inevitable that the Philippines where Stewart was stationed would fall to the Japanese. Although conditions were never good during Stewart's confinement they became unbearable toward the end of the war. His accounting of the slow loss of his friends to the rigor's of confimement and of his own perseverance to survive make this one of the very best books of its kind. It should be read by evey American so a truer picture of the horrors of war can be fully appreciated by all.

I learned more about this part of the war from this book than any history class I ever had. I liked the method used by this author to tell his story and a story of heart break and sadness . War is always these things. Stewart to.d it well.

Wonderful. Sad, poignant, yet uplifting, going straight to the heart. My father was a POW, on a hell ship to Japan imprisioned in
Omari near Tokyo, liberated in the early '40's. So this book was deeply moving for me.
